A quick personal note
Thanks to everyone who is following my blog! There have been a lot of subscribers recently and I just wanted to make a post about why you haven't heard from me lately.
I'm in the midst of a serious health issue that's absolutely wiping my energy out. Not to be coy; one of my core values is transparency. I've been diagnosed as diabetic. It's not really under control yet, just in the 'testing what works' phase.
For the past three months, I have been capable of getting out of bed, fixing meals, doing a tiny bit of work, and that's about it. Oh yeah, knitting. At least I can still do that!
I have tons of plans for fiber projects, and am just waiting for a plumber to come and install the new sinks to have a full dye studio once again. That's pretty exciting, and has kept me going. I'm also working on my dye formula book. There isn't a goal of publication; this is for me to work through, record and adjust hundreds of color formulations that I want to test, and eventually turn into a line of repeatable colors for yarn. Here's a few of the more than 40 pages so far.
If you know me, you know I love data. I'm all about measurements, formulas and such. I actually almost got assaulted over data once, but that's a story for a different day.
This is the yarn from Test 2. I'm going to test knit another baby hat, then offer this as a kit.
